About Us

Welcome to Liguori Publications
Liguori Publications is a collaborative ministry of Redemptorist priests and brothers, who along with a staff of laity spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world through publications.

Our works are educational and pastoral in nature. Perhaps our most well-known product is Liguorian magazine, celebrating 100 years of publication in 2013. In addition, we publish Sunday bulletins for the parish; resources for parish and religious education, faith formation, and sacramental preparation; affordable pamphlets in an assortment of timely topics; and books that will inform, educate, and inspire. We offer more than 600 Liguori eBook titles.

Mission Statement
Liguori Publications, a Roman Catholic company, furthers the mission of the Redemptorists by providing resources and fostering community to accompany the people of God in their anxious questions, to satisfy their spiritual hungers, and to ignite the joy of knowing the Redeemer.

About the Redemptorists
St. Alphonsus Liguori, moral theologian and Doctor of the Church, founded the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists) in Naples, Italy in 1732 as a religious congregation of the Catholic Church. The Congregation was formally approved by Pope Benedict XIV in 1749.  The original mission as set forth by St. Alphonsus was to strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ by preaching the Gospel to the poor and the most abandoned, particularly to those who live on the margins of Church and society.

Liguori Publications is a mission of the Denver Province which was established in June of 1996 when the former St. Louis Province (established in 1875) and the Oakland Province (established in 1952) merged. The Denver province was joined by the Vice-Province of New Orleans, established in 1952, in 2005. Over the years foreign missions have been established in Brazil (1943), in Thailand (1949), and in Nigeria (1987). In 2012 Thailand became an independent Province.
